We are deeply disappointed to see General Prayuth, a tyrannical dictator and rights abuser, telling lies in front of you and legitimate leaders worldwide. Where does the United Nations under your stewardship stand in relation to abusive and tyrannical leaders rising to power by coup against an elected government?

Prayuth is not the legitimate prime minister of Thailand. He is a dictator who has robbed, cheated, harassed, killed, abused, and lied. Why was he allowed to enter the U.S. and sit in the UN Headquarters in the first place?

Dr. Ban Ki-Moon, do you actually recognize an abusive and murderous leader who toppled an elected government as a legitimate leader of the people to participate in a UN activity? I am very disappointed.

As miserable and painful as I have been under dictatorial rule, I was hopeful that the United Nations would somehow give a tyrannical leader like Prayuth a lesson by not allowing him to be part of the legitimate circle of elected leaders. How disappointed I was yesterday to see Prayuth sitting among you and spitting his scripted lies.
